Team Singapore or $$$?

I almost forgot to write about this…

The Olympics has become more of a political fiasco than the great sporting event it was suppose to be… like the USA appointing a Sudanese refugee to be their flagbearer… and a FT (Foreign Talent) to be ours!!!

Seriously…

It’s like the embodiment of all the screwed-up policies being showcased to the world. I heard she did a pretty bad job at it too, dragging the flag along while the rest of the countries were holding theirs high and proud. She probably had nothing to be proud of anyway, the big fat pile of cash awaiting her if she wins a medal is probably weighing more on her mind. I am ashamed…

My feeble mind fails to comprehend what she has done to deserve to be the flag bearer, carrying our nation’s flag at the games hosted in the country she has deserted. Did she wanted to prove a point or ??? Was there really no one else more eligible?

This morning on my way to work, I heard that Tao Li, one of our FTs swimmer made it into one of the swimming finals. If it was Ang Peng Siong, I would have definitely feel proud of him. Instead, I am disgusted…

Oh well… I rather watch Michael Phelps make history or the USA Dream Team flop again.
