Probably time to look for something bigger… or not.

We’ve been looking around for dance schools the past couple of weeks since he likes to sing and dance alot. Not the type of sing and dance the men in white perform. My sis told me about this school yesterday and I dropped by this morning. Looks to be quite good, and price wise is reasonable. It’s located at The Cathay basement 1.

As he’s only 3, there is only 1 class he can attend. The semester have already ended but there’s a trial going on next Saturday for the upcoming term so I signed up for that.

My new job is keeping me fully occupied but it’s more of a much needed change than welcomed.

Womworld followed up on their 3rd message and actually invited me to meet one of their staff for some surprise over at Marina Bay Sands last week. Not sure if he’s here by chance or intentionally but I felt really guilty not being able to make it. Turns out that it’s the whole event was due to the launch of the Nokia C6. They sent me one shortly after that.

After having my iPhone 4 for 2 weeks, I hit a snag yesterday. I couldn’t transfer any damn photos or video out to my Macbook. I can’t really understand it. I’m using a Macbook connected to . . . → Read More: There’s always a first time!]]> Since I started buying Apple stuff the past few months, I’ve been completely satisfied with them… until now.

After having my iPhone 4 for 2 weeks, I hit a snag yesterday. I couldn’t transfer any damn photos or video out to my Macbook. I can’t really understand it. I’m using a Macbook connected to my iPhone and using iPhoto to transfer, all products of Apple… and yet I can’t execute a simple media import. It’ll just simply hang at iPhoto importing and the only way I can stop it is to disconnect it the iPhone. Try Image Capture and same problem. Occasionally I would be able to import most of the stuff if I do it 1-2 items at a time. All I can conclude is there seems to be some issue with large or many files… but I hit this problem with just a couple of photos too, so not really conclusive at all.

Asked my good friend Google about it. Seems like I’m not the only one facing this problem but couldn’t find any solution on it even on Apple’s own forums. If anyone knows a solution please tell me!

In the end? I connected the iPhone to my Windows virtual machine on my Macbook and just did a simple copy and paste from the Explorer. WTF?

Nothing’s perfect as always… but this is quite a disappointment as it’s going to be something I’ll be doing quite regularly. Damn…

Finally went down Marina Bay Sands to take a look. I’m probably one of the last Sinkaporeans to be there but the $8/hr parking rate was really turning me off… I took 97 anyway. The bus route was changed to a really confusing one that resulted me in taking the wrong one home from Suntec… :S If you’re taking bus, make sure you confirm with the bus driver before tapping your card and ending up at the bus terminal opposite Temasek Towers.

The iPhone build quality is really amazing. It’s simply the best piece of engineering I’ve ever seen, even better than the Macbook Pro. It feels like a solid block of metal and weighs as much. To me, the build quality is even more awe-inspiring than the much touted Retina LCD, but the LCD is superb as well, best I’ve ever seen. When I just got my hands on the Samsung Galaxy S, I turned it on and… hmmm… ok, it’s pretty nice, probably better than most phones I guess… but when I saw the Retina, I was like… WOW. Not a doubt the best LCD I’ve ever laid my eyes on.

It’s been a long time since I had my hands on a iPhone but surprisingly, I’m getting used to it pretty fast this time and so far, I’m not getting any impulse to smash it at all. Strange… maybe it’s all the little improvements since 3G. I don’t really care for the death grip issue since I don’t use any phones without a full-body casing.

Now I’m contemplating which case to get for the free case program… and waiting for jailbreak of course.

My E72′s going to take a backseat for a while. It’s seldom that I purchase a new phone before selling my old one but I think I’m gonna keep it. The resale price is just not worth selling it for.

He can sleep through an entire nap like this. He’s slightly obsessed with my sis who’s nearing delivery. Kids… :S
